Owned and controlled by its members, Edison Credit Union (ECU) is a cooperative, not-for-profit financial institution chartered in November 1928.

ECU serves workers in the following Kansas City ZIP codes: 64116, 64117, 64120, 64161; families of these workers; and the active or retired employees of Kansas City Power & Light.  Other companies have also been approved by the Board of Directors and Missouri Division of Credit Unions.
